Roof Repair Smedway built its Commercial Roofing division around one idea: homeowners in Northport deserve a straight answer, a fair price, and a truck in the driveway fast.
Roof Repair Smedway didn't start as a franchise looking for a market to plant a sign in. Our crews trained on real tear-offs, real ridge vents, and real attic inspections in Northport, NY before we ever put a truck on the road under this name.
We carry full liability coverage and workers' compensation, and every lead installer holds current state licensing, so a claim adjuster, a home inspector, or your own insurance carrier can verify our credentials without a single awkward phone call.
Roofing is a trade where shortcuts hide for a year or two and then fail at the worst possible moment, usually during the next hard rain. We build every Commercial Roofing job — big or small — the same way, whether it's a single shingle repair or a full tear-off.
Bonded, insured, and ready to show proof on the spot.
Storm damage doesn't check a calendar, so neither does our on-call rotation.
Every estimate is itemized in writing so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Faster arrival times because the truck was already nearby.
Most roof failures don't happen overnight — they build quietly for months before a homeowner notices the ceiling stain that finally forces the issue.
If your downspout discharge looks like sand, the UV-protective coating on your shingles is breaking down faster than it should.
Cupped shingles trap moisture underneath instead of shedding it, accelerating rot in the decking below.
Small gaps that let light in will let water in during the next heavy rain.
Ceiling stains tend to grow slowly, which is exactly why they're often ignored until the damage spreads.
Energy bills that creep upward without an obvious reason are worth checking against your roof's condition.
A visible bare patch after a windstorm means the roof's weather barrier has a direct gap that needs covering immediately.
Whether it's a single emergency tarp or a full system replacement, each service below is handled by technicians who specialize in that exact scope of work.
Active leaks after a storm get a same-day response whenever it's physically possible — a temporary tarp-down first, a permanent fix scheduled right behind it.
Residential work covers shingle repair, full re-roofs, ridge and soffit ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing — whatever the house actually needs.
Commercial roofs carry different loads and different membrane systems than residential shingles, and our crews are trained on TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen accordingly.
Old, layered shingle systems often need a full tear-off rather than an overlay, and we'll tell you honestly which one your roof actually needs.
Post-storm inspections give homeowners a documented record for insurance purposes, whether or not a claim is ultimately filed.
Chimney crickets, skylight seals, and valley flashing are common leak points that general handyman work often gets wrong — our crews treat them as their own scope.
Calls placed after hours still reach an on-call line for anything urgent.
You get a plain-language explanation of what's actually happening, not just a repair quote.
No verbal-only pricing — every number is documented so there's no confusion at invoice time.
Warranty documentation is provided on completion for both materials and labor.
Crews dispatched from within Northport, NY reach most Northport calls faster than out-of-area companies quoting a two-week wait.
Flat-rate pricing means the quote you approve is the quote you pay, barring a scope change we'll flag with you first.
Certifications are kept current so warranty coverage on materials stays valid when we install them.
We'd rather send a crew back for a five-minute fix than leave a customer unsure whether the job was done correctly.
We've worked with enough adjusters across Northport, NY to know what documentation actually gets a claim approved faster.
Our technicians explain the reasoning behind every recommendation so you're deciding with full information, not a sales script.
A verbal promise doesn't hold up when you need it — that's why our guarantee is documented, dated, and handed to you at project close.
Material substitutions or unexpected decking damage found mid-job are always discussed with you first — we don't add line items after the fact and hope you don't notice.
Our Northport coverage area extends across Northport, NY, and if your address falls just outside the standard zone, dispatch can usually still arrange a visit.
Dispatch routes are planned around Northport's actual neighborhoods and access roads, not a generic radius drawn on a map, which is part of why our arrival estimates tend to hold up.
